teacher holds a first-grade State certificate of the first class,
.and has taught five years in the public schools of Allegany
County, such teacher shall receive a salary of not less than
.seven hundred dollars ($700.00) per school year. Provided,
if such teacher holds a first-grade State certificate of the first
class, and has taught eight years in the public schools of Alle-
gany County, such teacher shall receive a salary of not less
than seven hundred and fifty dollars ($750.00) per school
year. Provided, if such teacher holds a first-grade State cer-
tificate of the first class, and has taught eleven years in the
public schools of Allegany County, such teacher shall receive
a salary of not less than eight hundred dollars ($800.00) per
school year. Provided, if such teacher holds a first-grade State
certificate of the first class, and has taught fifteen years in the
public schools of Allegany County, such teacher shall receive
a salary of not less than eight hundred and fifty dollars
($850.00) per school year.

SEC. 4. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the salary of all white elementary school (a school
having two rooms or more) principals shall be based on the ele-
mentary teachers' salary schedule, specified in Sections 1, 2
and 3. Provided, that the sum of one hundred dollars
($100.00) shall be added to the above salary of each element-
ary principal for each of the first three assistants. Provided
further, that the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) each shall be
added to the above salary of said elementary principal for
each of the next four assistants. And provided further, that
the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) shall be added for
each and every additional assistant, over the seven 'assistants
hereinbefore mentioned.

SEC. 5. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That no white teacher regularly employed in the public
high schools of Allegany County holding a first-class State
nigh school certificate shall receive a salary of less than seven
hundred and fifty dollars ($750.00) per school year. Pro-
Tided, if such teacher holds a first-class State high school cer-
tificate and has taught three years in the high schools of Alle-
gany County, such teacher shall receive a salary of not less
ihan eight hundred dollars ($800.00) per school year. Pro-
vided, if such teacher holds a first-class State high school cer-
tificate and has taught five years in the high schools of Alle-
gany County, such teacher shall receive a salary of not less
ihan eight hundred and fifty dollars ($850.00) per school year.
