CHAPTER 224.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Section 33
of Article 91, title "Surveyor a'nd State Survey," sub-title
"Public Roads" (as set out in the second volume of Bagby's
Code, as legalized by Chapter 21 of the Acts of 1912), and
to repeal Section 33A of Article 91, title "Surveyor and
State Survey," sub-title "Public Roads" (as set out in the
third volume of Bagby's Code, as legalized by Chapter 16
of the Acts of 1914:), as the same was amended by Chapter
575 of the Acts of 1916, and to add eleven new sections to
Article 91, title "Surveyor and State Survey," sub-title "Pub-
lic Roads" (as set out in the third volume of Bagby's Code,
as legalized by Chapter 16 of the Acts of 1914), said eleven
new sections to provide for the appointment by the Gov-
ernor of a Board of Examiners, with power to make rules
for the appointment of employees of the State Roads Com-
mission, and to provide penalties for violating the provisions
of this Act.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 33 of Article 91, title "Surveyor and State
Survey," sub-title "Public Roads" (as set out in the second
volume of Bagby's Code, as legalized by Chapter 21 of the
Acts of 1912), be and the same is hereby repealed and re-en-
acted with amendments, and that Section 33A of Article 91,
title "Surveyor and State Survey," sub-title "Public Roads"
(as set out in the third volume of Bagby's Code, as legalized
by Chapter 16 of the Acts of 1914) as the same was amended
by Chapter 575 of the Acts of 1916, be and the same is hereby
repealed, and that eleven new sections be and the same are
hereby added to Article 91, title "Surveyor and State Sur-
vey," sub-title "Public Roads" (as set out in the third volume
of Bagby's Code, as legalized by Chapter 16 of the Acts of
1914), to immediately follow Section 82D, and to be known as
Sections 82E, 82F, 82G, 82H, 821, 82J, 82K, 82L,'82M,
82N, 82 O, said Section 33 as repealed and re-enacted with
amendments, and said eleven additional sections to be as fol-
lows:
Section 33. The Governor is hereby authorized and directed
to appoint three competent persons, citizens and residents of this
State who shall constitute a special commission, to be known as
the "State Roads Commission." In making appointments to
