predecessors in said office of Treasurer; and upon the ratification
by the said Court of such sale or sales, and upon the receipt of
said Treasurer of the full amount of the purchase money there-
for, the said Treasurer shall, by a good and sufficient deed, con-
vey such real estate to the purchaser or purchasers thereof, in
the same manner and to the same legal effect and operation as
the same could have been reported and conveyed by such prede-
cessor or predecessors in said office of Treasurer of Howard
County in his or their lifetime.

CHAPTER 219.
AN ACT to prohibit under penalties any licensee from bar-
tering, selling or giving away spirituous, fermented, dis-
tilled, vinous, intoxicating or alcoholic liquors, other than
malt liquors containing less than 4% of alcohol by weight,
in bottles, casks, containers, packages or other vessels or
receptacles for the purpose of being taken, carried away or
removed therein from the licensed premises, before the hour
of 7 A. M. and after the hour of 6 P. M.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by1 the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That it shall be unlawful for any license© before the
hour of 7 A. M. and after the hour of 6 P. M. to sell, barter or
give away, or suffer to be sold, bartered or given away, any
spirituous, fermented, distilled, vinous, intoxicating or alco-
holic liquors (other than malt liquors containing less than 4%
of alcohol by weight) in bottles, casks, containers, packages or
other vessels or receptacles for the purpose of being taken, car-
ried away or removed therein from the licensed premises. Any
person who shall be convicted of violating any of the provi-
sions of this Act shall be subject to a fine of not less than
$100.00 nor more than $500.00; and if sufficient cause shall
at any time be shown or proof made that any said licensee has,
violated any of the provisions of this Act, his, her or its license
shall be revoked by the Circuit Court of the County wherein
said violation shall occur, or if in Baltimore City by the Crim-
inal Court of Baltimore City or by the Board of Liquor Li-
cense Commissioners for Baltimore City.
