CHAPTER 38.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners of
Baltimore County to pay to May Creamer, widow of John
Wesley Creamer, a former Police Lieutenant of Baltimore
County, a pension of Twenty-five Dollars ($25. 00) per
month.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Baltimore County are
hereby authorized and directed to pay to May Creamer, the
widow of John Wesley Creamer, a former Police Lieutenant
of Baltimore County, the sum of Twenty-five Dollars ($25. 00)
each month, payable on the last day of each month, during
the term of her natural life, or so long as she shall remain un-
married, —said pension to terminate upon her death or re-
marriage; and for that purpose they are hereby authorized and
empowered to levy annually the sum of Three Hundred Dol-
lars.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is here-
by declared to be emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and being
passed upon a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the Gen-
eral Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

CHAPTER 39.
AN ACT to add an additional section to Article 22 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Washington
County, " sub-title "Hagerstown, " same to be known as Sec-
tion 171-1.

to appoint five persons, residents of Hagerstown, who shall
constitute and be known as the Park Commission of Hagers-
