land of 1912, was made by John W. Staton, Esq., of the Wor-
cester Bar, which codification was legalized and adopted by the
General Assembly of 1914; but

WHEREAS, only the manuscript of the said codification exists
and no provision has ever been made for the printing' or pub-
lication of said Code.

Now, Therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted 'by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That John W. Staton be and he is hereby authorized and
empowered to so amend his beforementioned Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, Article 24, title "Worcester County"'
as to include the Acts of the G-eneral Assembly of Maryland
passed since said codification including the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1918; and when such amendment is
completed the said John W. Staton is directed to submit the
said amended codification to the Judges of the Circuit Court
for the First Judicial Circuit of Maryland for their inspec-
tion; and when said judges have inspected the same and in-
dicated in writing their approval thereof the same shall be de-
livered to the County Commissioners of Worcester County,
whose duty it shall be to have the same printed in pamphlet
form at the expense of said County in such quantity as the said
County Commissioners may direct; and the said County Com-
missioners may arrange for the sale of said printed codifica-
tion at such price as to the said County Commissioners may
seem best, the proceeds to go into the general county funds;
and the said County Commissioners upon the approval of said
codification by the Judges shall levy and pay to the said
John W. Staton the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars for
his services in bringing the said codification up to-and in-
cluding the Acts of 1918 as aforesaid.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of July, 1918.

CHAPTER 213.

AN ACT to provide for the indexing of the general land rec-
ords of Worcester County beginning at the year eighteen
hundred and seventy-six, and for the payment of the cost
thereof.
