the Acts of 1912, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments so as to read as follows:
886F. The magistrate for juvenile causes is hereby authoi-
ized to appoint a person as stenographer and typewriter to
serve during his pleasure who shall receive from the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore, a salary of ten hundred dollars per
annum, payable monthly. Said person shall perform such du-
ties as said magistrate may require.

CHAPTER 209.
AN ACT making additional appropriation for the Maryland
School for the Blind for the fiscal years ending September
30, 1919, and September 30, 1920.

CHAPTER 210.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 24
of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title
"Revenue and Taxes," sub-title "Rate and Items of State
Tax," as said section was amended by Chapter 621 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1916.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 24 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, title "Revenue and Taxes," sub-title "Rate and
Items of State Tax," as said section was amended by Chapter
621 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1916,
be and the same hereby is repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments, so as to read as follows:
24. The County Commissioners of the several counties
of the State, and the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
are directed to levy the State Taxes, to be collected accord-
ing to law, and to be apportioned for the year nineteen hun-
dred and nineteen, as follows: A tax of fifteen cents (15 cents)
on each one hundred dollars to aid in the support of the public
schools, and a tax of two cents (2 cents) on each one hun-
dred dollars to aid in the support of the public schools, and
