CHAPTER 207.
AN ACT to amend the charter of Ellicott City, Howard County,
Maryland, by repealing Section Seventy-seven (77) of Article
14, Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Howard
County", sub-title "Ellicott City", as enacted by Chapter
836 of the Acts of 1914; and enacting in lieu thereof a new
section to be known as Section Seventy-seven (77) of said
Article 14, covering the question of taxation for said munici-
pal corporation; and also enacting five new sections as an
addition to said charter, said new sections to be known as
Sections 81-V, 81-W, 81-X, 81-Y and 81-Z of said Article 14;
the said last mentioned five sections to authorize and em-
power the Commissioners of Ellicott City to issue bonds and
appropriate the proceeds arising from the sale thereof for
establishing, constructing and maintaining an electric light
plant for said Ellicott City; directing how said bonds may be
issued; to condemn such land as may be necessary for the
building of said plant; to levy taxes on the assessable prop-
erty of said town to redeem said bonds and to pay the in-
terest thereon; and to permit the sale of electric current to
private consumers.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section Seventy-seven (77) of Article 14, Code of
