exceeding in total any time ten per cent, of the assessed valua-
tion of real property within said Section 5, and for these pur-
poses said Section 5 shall be and hereby is constituted a corpora-
tion, and the said Citizens' Committee is empowered to act for
said corporation.
SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That the Treasurer of said
Section 5 of said Village of Chevy Chase, shall deposit all funds
coming into his hands, as such, in accordance with the require-
ments of law, for the deposit of County Funds by the County
Treasurer, or in such other Bank approved by the Citizens' Com-
mittee of said Section 5; provided, that the Treasurer of said
Village of Chevy Chase shall not dispose of any of the funds
coming into his hands as such Treasurer, except upon check
duly signed by him as such Treasurer, and countersigned by the
Chairman or some member of the said Committee acting as
Chairman pro tem in his absence; such acting Chairman shall
be duly authorized to act by resolution of said Committee, which
must first be placed upon the minutes of the Committee to be
provided therefor.

CHAPTER 190.
AN ACT to create a special taxation area or district to be
known as Oakmont, Montgomery County, Maryland, for
the incorporation, election and succession of a Citizens' Com-
mittee, who shall appoint a secretary-treasurer and other
necessary officers; also directing the Board of County Com-
missioners of Montgomery County, Maryland, to pay over to
the secretary-treasurer of said Citizens' Committee for dis-
bursement for improving, maintaining and repairing roads,
streets and lanes the money collected on account of the
county road tax in the same amount and manner as is now
required by law to be paid to incorporated towns in said
county; also empowering the said Citizens' Committee, sub-
ject to the approval of the said Board of County Commis-
sioners, to assess the cost of certain special improvements
against the property abutting on streets, lanes and sidewalks
for certain improvements, the collection of such assessment
and disbursement thereof for the benefit of the residents of
said special taxation area of Oakmont; also empowering said
Citizens' Committee, subject to the approval of said Board
