ing and other regulations; for the incorporation, election and
succession of a Citizens' Committee who shall appoint a
Treasurer to receive and disburse said funds; also directing
the said Board of County Commissioners to pay over to the
Treasurer of said village for disbursement for opening, im-
proving, maintaining and repairing the county and other
public roads, streets and lanes, the money collected on ac-
count of the county road tax in the same amount and manner
as is now required by law to be paid to incorporated towns
in said county; also empowering the said Citizens' Commit-
tee, subject to the approval of the said Board of County
Commissioners, to assess the cost of certain special improve-
ments against the property abutting on streets, roads, lanes
and sidewalks for certain improvements, the collection of
such assessment and disbursement thereof for the benefit of
the residents of said part of said village; also empowering
said Citizens' Committee, subject to the approval of the
Board of County Commissioners, to acquire, by purchase,
condemnation or otherwise property for sewerage disposal
purposes, and to assess the cost against the property using
the same; also for the authorization to hold meetings of the
resident registered and qualified voters and property owners
to request the special levy and to elect the Chevy Chase Citi-
zens' Committee to serve as successors to the Committee
named in said Act; also to repeal Chapter 383 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland, 1910, authorizing
special levies for said Village of Chevy Chase, in so far as
the same may apply to Section 4 thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That for the purposes of this Act, Section 4 of the Vil-
lage of Chevy Chase, of Montgomery County, Maryland, as
hereinafter described, shall constitute a special tax area or dis-
trict, and shall be deemed and taken to comprise certain par-
cels of land, namely:

Boundaries.

So much of the,area in the sub-division of land in said Mont-
gomery County made by the Chevy Chase Land Company of
Montgomery County, and known as Section 4, as per plat re-
corded among the Land Records of said Montgomery County
and such territory adjacent thereto as is included in the follow-
ing boundaries: The middle line of Bradley Lane on the south,
the middle line of Connecticut Ave. on the east, the middle
