miles northward from said St. Peter's Church and in the
Eighth Election District of said Charles County to purchase
said lot and erect said building.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Charles County be
and they are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to
levy the sum of Nine Hundred Dollars at the time of their an-
nual levy in the year 1918, for the purpose of purchasing a lot
and erecting thereon a public school building for white chil-
dren, at a point on the Public Road leading from St. -Peter's
Church in Charles County, to Cedarville in Prince George's
County, not less than two miles northward from said St. Peter's
Church, and in the Eighth Election District of said Charles
County.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the County Board of Edu-
cation of said Charles County, shall purchase a lot for said
public school building and contract for the erection of the
same, through the medium of public bids, awarding the con-
tract for the erection of said building to the lowest responsible
bidder; provided that the aggregate cost of the lot and build-
ing aforesaid shall not exceed the sum of Nine Hundred Dol-
lars.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on the first day of June, in the year 1918.

CHAPTER 155.

AN ACT to amend Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of the State of Maryland, title '' Queen Annes County, '' sub-
title "Church Hill, " by adding two new sections thereto to
come in after Section 112, and to be designated as Section
112A and Section 112B, respectively, and to repeal all laws
inconsistent therewith.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That two following additional sections, be and the same are
hereby added to the Public Local Laws of Maryland, Article 18,
title '' Queen Annes County, '' sub-title '' Church Hill, '' to imme-
diately follow Section 112, and to be designated as Section
112A and Section 112B, respectively, and read as follows:
