10, 11, 14, 17, 21 and 27 of Article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County, " sub-title "Alms-
house, " as amended by Chapter 166, Acts of 1892, and by
Chapter 445, Acts of 1894, the sub-title of which was
changed by Chapter 32, Acts of 1906, to "Anne Arundel
County Home, " and to add an additional section to said
Article to be known as Section 27A.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 22 of Chapter 661, as the same was re-
enacted by Chapter 661 of the Acts of 1916, be and the same
is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 22. The County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County shall, for the year 1918, and every year thereafter levy
as other moneys are levied, the sum of four thousand dollars
($4, 000) for the support of the Anne Arundel County Home,
and the fiscal year for said home shall begin on the 1st day of
July and end on the 30th day of June following in each and
every year, and the money so levied for the support of said
County Home shall be payable by the said County Commis-
sioners to the Trustees of said Home in four equal install-
ments payable on the first day of August, November, Febru-
ary and May, and, in addition thereto the sum of $200 for
each inmate in excess of fifteen that the Home has contained,
upon the average for the past year, up to a total of twenty
inmates, and the sum of $150 for each additional inmate up
to twenty-five inmates, and the sum of $125 for each addi-
tional inmate over and above twenty-five. The Trustees shall
render proper reports to the Commissioners of all their trans-
actions and shall show their books and accounts to said Com-,
missioners upon proper demand. At the end of each fiscal
year the County Commissioners for Anne Arundel County
may demand that all unexpended balances of money received
from them, be turned into the County Treasurer, and for fail-
ure to do so on the part of said Trustees the County Commis-
sioners may fine the said Trustees or any one of them a sum
not to exceed $50 each or dismiss from office all or any of said
Trustees or all of them, or both in the discretion of said Com-
missioners, such fine and dismissal from office to be accom-
plished as such fine and penalties are usually accomplished.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all Acts inconsistent with
the provisions of this Act be and the same are hereby repealed.
