thousand dollars of the bonds issued by the Mayor and Coun-
cil of Crisfield under Chapter 98 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1910, which fall due in 1920, that
the said Mayor and Council of Crisfield be and it is hereby
authorized and empowered from time to time, to issue bonds oh
the faith and credit of said municipal corporation in the sum
of not exceeding thirty-six thousand dollars, the proceeds of
sale whereof shall be applied to pay off the said twenty thou-
sand dollars of bonds issued by the Commissioners of Cris-
field pursuant to Chapter 265 of the said Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1898, which fall due in 1919, to
pay off the said six thousand dollars of bonds issued by the
Commissioners of Crisfield pursuant to Chapter 27 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1900, which fall due
in 1920, and to pay off the said ten thousand dollars of bonds
issued by the Mayor and Council of Crisfield pursuant to
Chapter 98 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland
of 1910, which fall due in 1920, said bonds to be issued in de-
nominations of five hundred dollars each, due and payable
twenty years from the date of issue thereof; that said bonds
shall bear interest not exceeding five per cent, per annum, pay-
able semi-annually, after the date of said bonds, which interest
may be evidenced by coupons to be attached thereto; that said
bonds shall be signed by the Mayor of Crisfield, sealed with the
corporate seal of the corporation, and attested by the clerk there-
of: that the faith and assessable property of said City of Cris-
field are hereby pledged to the payment of the principal and
interest of said bonds, which bonds shall be. exempt from
County and Municipal taxation, and that said bonds may 'be
registered by the clerk of the corporation, and shall have
printed on them a distinct reference to this Act authorizing the
same.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from June 1, 1918.

AN ACT to repeal Section 1 of Chapter 464 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland of 1914, entitled "An
Act to further protect Fur-Bearing Animals in Cecil Coun-
