98 JOINT RESOLUTIONS.
WHEREAS, Messrs. Henry White ajid Julian La Roy White
have recently executed a deed of gift to the State of Maryland,
through the Board of Forestry, for a valuable tract of land
situated in Garrett County, called "Herrington Manor" and
containing 656 acres for use by the State as a Forest Reserve
and Park; and
WHEREAS, It is eminently proper that such generous gifts
to the State should be fittingly acknowledged; therefore,
Be it resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the thanks of the State are hereby conveyed to Messrs. Henry
White and Julian La Roy White for their gift of 656 acres of
land to the State as a forest Reserve; and
Be it further resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be
spread upon the Journal, and a copy under the Great Seal of
the State of Maryland be transmitted by the Secretary of the
Senate to Messrs. Henry White and Julian La Roy White.

A Joint Resolution requesting the Honorable Josephus Daniels,
Secretary of the Navy, to approve the recommendations of
the Naval Consulting Board, in favor of locating the New
Naval Experiment Station and Research Laboratory at An-
napolis, Maryland.
WHEREAS, By Act of Congress, duly passed, the Secretary
of the Navy, was authorized to have built, after the selection
of a location for the same, a New Naval Experiment Station
and Research Laboratory; and,
WHEREAS, The Secretary of the Navy referred the matter
of the location of the said New Naval Experiment Station and
Research Laboratory to the Naval consulting Board, and said
