Highway Commission shall monthly certify to the County
Commissioners of said county all expenses incurred, material
furnished and work done, and upon such certification said
County Commissioners shall arrange for the payment of all
bills thus duly certified.

SEC. 292. It shall be unlawful for said Highway Commis-
sioners to cause any public road to be plowed or stirred be-
tween the first of October and the first of April except in case
of washout or other emergency, and it shall be the duty of the
Highway Commissioners to place gravel or other hard material
upon any public road properly constructed to receive it, at any
time during the year.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 112.

AN ACT to provide for the erection and equipment of a public
school house in the village of Brentwood, seventeenth election
district, Prince George's county, Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Robert A. Van Horn, Arthur R. Smith, Richard P.
Riddick, John Miller, Wallace A. Bartlett, Harry Nalley, Isaac
D. Arnold, Fred E. Weber, Charles M. Newman and Thomas
E. Elliott, be and they are hereby constituted a Building Com-
mittee for the purpose of purchasing a lot or lots and erecting
and furnishing in the village of Brentwood, seventeenth elec-
tion district Prince George's county, Maryland, a public school
building to be used for public school purposes, for the pupils
from the village of Brentwood and its vicinity, free from any
charges for instruction therein whatever.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That of the aforesaid Building
Committee, five members shall constitute a quorum, and the
concurrence of five of them shall be necessary for the decision
of any or. all questions which may arise in the discharge of
their duties; and all vacancies occuring in said Building Com-
mittee, whether from death, resignation, refusal to act or
otherwise, shall be filled by the School Commissioners of Prince
George's county.
