said County Commissioners are hereby authorized and empow-
ered to borrow on the credit of said county an amount not ex-
ceeding twelve thousand dollars, and to issue coupon bonds
therefor in sums of one thousand dollars each, to be signed by
the president of said Board of County Commissioners and its
clerk and sealed with the seal of the office, dated the first day
of July, 1908, bearing interest at the rate of five per cent, per
annum, payable semi-annually, the principal of said bonds to
be payable in twenty years after their date. That said bonds
shall be sold by said County Commissioners for the best price
obtainable, provided they are not sold for less than par.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the said Building Committee
shall from time to time report to the County Commissioners
the progress of the work and the sum or sums of money needed,
and from the fund realized from the sale of said bonds the
cost of such addition and heating shall be paid by said County
Commissioners in accordance with the contract herein author-
ized upon the approval of said Building Committee.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the County Commissioners
be and they are hereby authorized to levy annually upon the
assessable property of Prince George's county a sum sufficient
to pay the interest on said bonds, and for the payment of the
principal thev are authorized to levy in the year 1923 the sum
of $2,000.00, and a like sum in the years 1924, 1925, 1926 1927
and 1928, which amounts shall be set apart and invested and
shall be used for the purpose stated and none other, and said
bonds shall be exempt from county taxation.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 79.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments chapter 631
of the Acts of 1902, entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments chapter 257 of the Acts of 1900, entitled
'An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments chapter 102
of the Acts of 1894,' entitled 'An Act to re-incorporate the
town of Hyattsville, Prince George's county, Maryland, and to
create therein a governing body of the name and style of the
Mayor and Common Council;'" and to repeal and re-enact
chapter 113 of the laws of 1906, entitled "An Act to repeal
and re-enact with amendments sections 14 and 22 of chapter
631 of the Acts of 1902, title being 'An Act to amend the
corporate charter of the town of Hyattsville.' "
