stroy the nest and eggs of any birds within the limits of said
county; provided, that after the first day of April in the year
nineteen hundred and eight, partridge, quail, bobwhites, wood-
cock may be hunted and killed between the first day of Novem-
ber and the twenty-fourth day of December in each year, that
rabbits may be hunted, killed and trapped between the first day
of November and the twenty-fourth day of December in each
year; that doves, plovers and wild pigeons may be hunted and
killed between the fifteenth day of July and the twenty-fourth
day of December in each year; that snipe may be hunted and
killed between the fifteenth day of March and the first day of
June in each year; that squirrel, reedbirds, railbirds and orto-
lans may be hunted and killed between the first day of Septem-
ber and the first day of November in each year, any person who
shall shoot, trap, kill or injure, pursue or hunt any bird, rabbit
or squirrel, or who shall unnecessarily disturb or destroy any
birds nests and eggs in violation of this section, shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof by any
justice of the peace of Kent county, shall forfeit and pay such
justice of the peace trying the case a fine of ten dollars for each
bird, rabbit or squirrel by him shot, trapped, killed, injured,
pursued or hunted and for each bird's nest and eggs unneces-
sarily disturbed or destroyed by him, with costs and prosecu-
tion.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 357.

AN ACT to add two new sections to article 15 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Kent County," sub-title "Chester-
town," one of the said new sections to follow immediately
after section 51, and to be designated as section 5lA, and the
other of said new sections to follow immediately after sec-
tion 65, and to be designated section 65A, so as to read as
follows, and to authorize the legal and qualified voters of
Chestertown to vote upon same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maty-
land, That two new sections be added to article 15 of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "Kent County," sub-title "Chester-
town," one of said sections to follow immediately after sections
51, and to be designated section 51 A, and the other of said new
sections to follow immediately after section 66, and to be desig-
nated section 65A, and to read as to said new sections as fol-
lows:
