ment. Said officer of registration shall register in a book pre-
pared for that purpose, similar in all respects to the books of
registration of voters for members of the House of Delegates,
all the male residents of said city qualified to vote for delegates
to the General Assembly of Maryland, who shall have resided
for six months previous to any municipal election, within the
corporate limits of said city, as defined and bounded by chapter
179 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed in
the year 1906.

52. Said officer of registration, after giving two weeks' notice
by handbills posted on at least five prominent places within
said city limits shall, at some convenient place in said city, to
be designated in said handbills by the said Mayor, at 8 o'clock
in the morning on the first Monday of February, 1909, and at
the same hour on the two next succeeding Tuesdays thereafter,
at the same place, to open said registration book and the same
to keep open until 6 o'clock in the evening on each of said days,
for the purpose of registering all the qualified voters of said
city who shall be entitled under the provisions of this sub-title
of this article to be registered, and he shall register them all
who shall personally apply for registration, and such persons
so registered shall be entitled to vote at any municipal election
thereafter to be held in said city, and he shall cause an alpha-
betical list of the registered voters to be published by hand-
bills, to be posted on at least five public places in said city,
within two weeks after the closing of said book on the last day
of registration. He shall strike off from said book of registra-
tion, during the three days said book shall be open for regis-
tration, the names of all persons who have removed from said
city at least six months before any such municipal election, and
he shall also strike off from registration all persons whose place
of residence is within that pnrt of Baltimore county which
formerly was within the municipal limits of said city, and
which has been excluded by chapter 179 of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, passed in the year 1906, and he
shall further publish at the same time, by handbills, all such
persons stricken from said book within two weeks after the clos-
ing of said book on the last day of registration.

53. Within two weeks after the closing of said book of regis-
tration, said officer of registration shall deposit with the clerk
of the Circuit Court for Howard county said book of registra-
tion, which shall remain in the custody of said clerk, except as
hereinafter provided, until the week previous to the next sitting
of such officer of registration, when the same shall be delivered
up to such officer of registration so designated by the Mayor as
