796 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 616.

AN ACT to repeal sections 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 of chapter 469 1/2
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, session
of 1906, entitled "An Act to regulate the sale and granting
of licenses for the sale of spirituous and fermented liquors
in Frederick county," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sections 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 of chapter 469 1/2 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, session of 1906,
entitled "An Act to regulate the sale and granting of licenses
for the sale of spirituous and fermented liquors in Frederick
county," be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted
so as to read as follows:

1. That all licenses to sell spirituous and fermented liquors
in Frederick county shall expire on the first day of May next
ensuing the date of issue, and shall be issued to males over the
age of twenty-one years only, and for 12, 9, 6 or 3 months,
and for no other times.

2. That any person desiring to obtain a license to sell spir-
ituous or fermented liquors in Frederick county shall, before
the first day of April, if he desires a license for twelve months;
before the first day of July, if he desires a license for nine
months; before the first day of October if he desires a license
for six months; before the first day of January if he desires
a license for three months, file an application in writing there-
for with the clerk of the Circuit Court for Frederick county
in which he shall state, first: the name and residence of the
applicant and how long he has resided there; second, that
he is a citizen of the United States and has been for twelve
months next preceding the filing of such application, a bona
fide resident of the State of Maryland, and for three months
next preceding the filing of such application a bona fide resi-
dent of Frederick county; third, the place of birth of the appli-
cant, and if a naturalized citizen, when and where he was
naturalized; fourth, the name of the owner of the premises
upon which the business to be licensed is to be carried on;
fifth, a description of the location where the business for which
license is sought is to be carried on, so that such location may
