killed, netted or ensnared and ($25.00) for the having in pos-
session any such traps, net or snare and every such trap, net
or snare shall be forfeited and destroyed upon the conviction
of the accused.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 5.
AN ACT to repeal chapter 381 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1906, entitled "An Act to encourage
the killing of hawks and owls in Dorchester County."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That chapter 381 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1906, entitled "An Act to encourage the killing
of hawks and owls in Dorchester County," be and the same is
hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 437.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the judges of the first judi-
cial circuit of the State to employ a stenographer and to pro-
vide for the salary of the same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the judges of the first judicial circuit of this State
be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to employ a
competent stenographer to serve in the respective courts of
said circuit.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the salary of said stenogra-
pher shall be one thousand dollars ($1,000) per year, from the
first day of May, nineteen hundred and eight; the said salary
to be paid as follows: The County Commissioners of Dorches-
ter county, Wicomico county, Somerset county and Worcester
county shall each pay the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars
thereof. Said payments to be made in quarterly instalments
from the first day of May, nineteen hundred and eight, during
service, on the presentation of the certificate of the clerk of
either county or of either of said judges of said court, to the
