whose premises the dog is allowed to stay for the period of
thirty days aforesaid, after bill rendered him by the bailiff for
the tax, whether the owner or not of the said dog; and if the
said tax be not paid within thirty days after bill presented for
the same by the bailiff of La Plata it shall be the duty of the
bailiff to collect the same by suing therefor as bailiff before a
justice of the peace, and the judgment to be recovered for the
same shall be without exemption from execution as against
either the owner of the dog, in case suit is brought against
him, or the person upon whose premises the dog is allowed to
remain thirty days as aforesaid after notice as aforesaid, and
the exemption shall apply not only to the process for seizure of
property, but also as against wages and other claims due and
sought to be collected by atachment, and it shall be the duty
of the justice of the peace and the Circuit Court on appeal to
construe liberally all the proceedings set forth herein in favor
of the collector of said tax and all such proceedings shall be
amendable and not be defeated by mere matter of form and
procedure.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all Acts or parts of Acts in-
consistent with the provisions of this Act, be and the same
are hereby repealed and that this Act shall take effect from
and after the date of its passage.-

CHAPTER 441.

AN ACT to repeal sections 157, 158, 159 and 160 of article 9
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Charles County,"
sub-title "Roads and Bridges," and chapter 284 of the Acts
of 1898, chapter 227 of the Acts of 1902, and chapter 432 of
the Acts of 1906, and all Acts or parts of Acts amendatory
of the aforesaid sections, and to re-enact the same with
amendments, and to add certain sections to the aforegoing
article, to be designated sections 160A, 160B and 160C.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sections 157, 158, 159 and 160 of article 9 of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "Charles County,", sub-title "Roads
and. Bridges," and chapter 284 of the Acts of 1898, chapter 227
of the Acts of 1902, and chapter 432 of the Acts of 1906, and
all Acts or parts of Acts amendatory of the aforesaid sections,
