paragraph to come in at the end of said sub-section of said
section 6, authorizing the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more, through the Electrical Commission, to erect in con-
nection with the underground conduits, constructed by said
commission, distributing poles or other similar structures,
and clothing said Mayor and City Council of Baltimore with
power, acting through said Electrical Commission, to compel
and regulate the use of said poles and other similar struc-
tures by individuals and corporations to the same extent as
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore can now compel
and regulate the use of underground conduits by individuals
or corporations.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new paragraph, headed "Distributing Poles and
Other Similar Structures," be and the same is hereby added to
section 6, sub-section "Streets, Bridges and Highways," of
article 4, entitled "City of Baltimore," of the Public Local Laws
of Maryland; said paragraph to come in at the end of said sub-
section of said section 6, and to read as follows: "Distributing
Poles and Other Similar Structures. To erect and construct
through the Electrical Commission, in connection with the
underground conduits now in course of construction by said
commission, distributing poles or other similar structures;
and to compel and regulate the use of said poles or other similar
structures by individuals and corporations to the same extent
as the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore can now compel
and regulate the use of underground conduits by individuals
or corporations."
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 111.
AN ACT to establish scholarships at St. John's College for the
fourth legislative district of Baltimore city.
Whereas it is enacted by the Act 1878, chapter 315, section
2, that one male student be provided with board, heat, light,
washing and room at St. John's College, Annapolis, Maryland,
from each of the counties and from each legislative district of
Baltimore city; and
Whereas it is also enacted by the Act of 1894, chapter 208,
that two students from each Senatorial district of the State
shall be educated free of charge at said college; and
