SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That chapter 624 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1904, entitled An Act to add an additional section
to the Act of 1898, chapter 123, entitled "City of Baltimore,"
sub-title "Charter," said section to follow section 327 and said
section to be designated as section 327A, be and the same is
hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its p'assage.

CHAPTER 18.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 443
of article 4 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"City of Baltimore," sub-title "Fines and Forfeitures."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 443 of article 4 of the Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title "Fines and
Forfeitures," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
so as to read as follows:
443. No person shall hereafter be allowed to give security
for the payment of any fine and costs imposed by the Criminal
Court of Baltimore, but any person who shall be sentenced by
the court to the payment of any fine and costs shall stand com-
mitted until they are paid. And in default of the payment of
said fine and costs shall serve one day in jail for each dollar or
fractional part thereof of said fine and costs; provided, how-
ever, that in no case shall the term of such imprisonment in
default of the payment of any fine and costs exceed six months.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect for the date of its passage.
