sonable conditions of other persons therefrom.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 78.

AN ACT concerning the retirement from regular duty of
public school teachers in Baltimore city, and providing sala-
ries for teachers retired; providing for a fund out of which
said salaries shall be paid, and creating the board of trustees
of the Teachers' Retirement Fund of Baltimore City for the
management and distribution of such fund, by adding addi-
tional sections to article 4 of the Code pf Public Local Laws,
title "City of Baltimore," as repealed and re-enacted by
chapter one hundred and twenty-three of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, session of eighteen hundred
and ninety-eight, sub-title "Executive Department," sub-title
"Department of Education," to follow section one hundred
and two, and to be known as sections 102A, 102B, 102c, 102D,
102E, 102F, 102G, 102H, 102I, 102J, 102K, 102L, 102M, 102N,
102O, 102P, 102Q, 102R, 102s.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the following additional sections be added to article
4 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore,"
as repealed and re-enacted by chapter one hundred and .twenty-
three of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, session
of eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, sub-title "Executive
Department," sub-title "Department of Education," to follow
section one hundred and two and to be known as sections 102A,
102B, 102C, 102D, 102B, 102F, 102G, 102H, 102I, 102J, 102K, 102L,
102M, 102N, 102O, 102P, 102Q, 102R, 102S.

102A. There shall be a board to be known the board of
trustees of the Teachers' Retirement Fund of Baltimore City,
to be composed of seven persons, who shall serve without com-
pensation for their duties as members of said board. The said
board of trustees shall be composed of the City Comptroller,
the Superintendent of Public Instruction, two members of the
Board of School Commissioners, to be elected by said Board of
School Commissioners annually in the month of November,
beginning in the year 1909, and the members so elected shall
become members of said board of trustees on the fifteenth day
of January next following the date of their election, provided
