same is now located and as the same would be located if ex-
tended in straight lines to the east side of Sixteenth street,
where the same would be if said Sixteenth street were extended
in straight lines; thence southerly along the east side of Six-
teenth street as now located to the water's edge of the Patapsco
river; thence westerly along the water's edge of the Patapsco
river to the present limits of Baltimore city, and thence along
the present limits of Baltimore city in a northerly direction to
the place of beginning; to be collected as other county taxes are
collected, and when'collected to be used by the said County
Commissioners exclusively for the purpose of condemning,
grading, curbing and " paving such streets within the said
limits of the said villages of Canton and Highlandtown as
they, the said County Commissioners, may deem or determine
to be most in need thereof.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all Acts and parts of Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland, inconsistent herewith,
be and the same are hereby repealed.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 211.
AN ACT to repeal chapter 240 of the Acts of 1882, entitled
"An Act to regulate and establish the pay of the bailiffs of
the Circuit Court for Baltimore county," and to re-enact
the same with amendments so as to read as follows:
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That chapter 240 of the Acts of 1882, entitled "An Act
to regulate and establish the pay of the bailiffs of the Circuit
Court for Baltimore county," be and the same is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as fol-
lows : <
,SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the bailiffs of the Circuit
Court for Baltimore county be paid a salary of seventy-five
dollars per month each in lieu of all fees.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said salary be due and
payable by the County Commissioners of Baltimore county
on the first Tuesday of each and every month.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the first Tuesday in June, 1908.
