532 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

entitled "An Act to regulate the erection, construction and
maintenance of private and public buildings in the twelfth
district of Baltimore county, and to authorize and empower
the County Commissioners of said county to adopt rules and
regulations in reference thereto and to provide for the
appointment and compensation by fees of an inspector of
buildings for said district, and to require that the erection
and construction of all buildings in said district shall be
made under his supervision and subject to the regulations of
said County Commissioners; and further to provide for the
construction of fire escapes for school houses throughout
Baltimore county," so as to include the fourteenth, ninth,
third, first, second and thirteenth districts of said county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by. the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sections one, two, three, four, five, six and seven of
chapter five hundred and ten, of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, passed at the January session nineteen hun-
dred and four, entitled "An Act to regulate the erection, con-
struction and maintenance of private and public buildings in
the twelfth district of Baltimore county, and to authorize and
empower the County Commissioners of said county to adopt
rules and regulations in reference thereto, and to provide for
the appointment and compensation by fees of an inspector of
buildings for said district, and to require that the erection and
construction of all buildings in said district shall be made
under his supervision and subject to the regulations of said
County Commissioners, and further, to provide for the con-
struction of fire escapes for, school houses throughout Balti-
more county," be and the same are hereby repealed and re-
enacted so as to include the fourteenth, ninth, third, first,
second and thirteenth districts of said county, so as to read as
follows:

SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the assessor of new and missed property in each of
the twelfth, fourteenth, ninth, third, second, first and thir-
teenth election districts of Baltimore county be and he is
hereby constituted the inspector of buildings for said respec-
tive districts, and as such shall have all the powers and duties
hereinafter prescribed; provided, that in case at any time
hereinafter, more than one assessor of new and missed prop-
erty shall be appointed for said respective districts, the
County Commissioners shall, at the time of making such ap-
pointment, designate which of said appointees is to serve as
inspector of buildings as aforesaid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That hereafter no building or
structure of any kind whatsoever, exceeding in value one hun-
