ner provided for by section 392; the examiner or examiners
shall then proceed to value such damages as may happen to
arise from the condemnation and opening of said street, ave-
nue or alley, or portion thereof, and to make an estimate of the
probable cost of opening, grading and construction of the
said road and of the probable cost and expenses of the proceed-
ings in the matter, including the per diem of the examiner or the
examiners, and shall assess the gross amount of such damages,
the probable cost of opening, grading and construction, and the
probable amount of cost and expenses of the proceedings in the
matter, including the per diem of the examiner or examiners,
in such proportions as may be fair and equitable as benefits,
upon all the lands in said county, which shall in the opinion of
the examiner or examiners, be benefited by the condemnation,
opening, grading and construction of said street, avenue or
alley, or any part thereof; and as soon as the explanatory plat
and necessary profiles of grades are made, and the examiner or
examiners shall have completed the valuation of damages and
estimated the probable cost of opening, grading and construc-
tion, and of the proceeding in the matter, and of the amount
that will be required to be assessed as benefits, and shall have
prepared a statement of the same, the said examiner or exami-
ners shall give fifteen days' notice in one or more newspapers
published in Baltimore county, and one or more newspapers
published in Baltimore city, that said plat, profile and state-
ment are ready for examination, and that the said examiner or
examiners will meet on such days and at such time and place
as may be designated in said notice, to review any of the several
matters set forth in said statement, to which any person claim-
ing to be interested therein may object; and the said examiner
or examiners shall consider all such objections and representa-
tions that may be made to any matter in said statement, and
shall make all such corrections and alterations in the valua-
tions of damages, estimates of probable cost of opening, grading
and construction, and assessments for benefits and all other
matters contained in such statement, as in the judgment of the
said examiner or examiners shall appear to be just and proper;
and the examiner or examiners may adjourn from day to day, if
necessary, to give all parties claiming a review an opportunity
to be heard, not exceeding in the whole five days; and after
closing such review, the examiner or examiners shall award the
damages and estimate the probable cost of opening, grading and
construction, and the probable cost and expenses of the pro-
ceedings in the matter, and assess the gross amount as benefits
in the manner provided for by this sub-title of this article; and
the said examiner or examiners shall make a statement of the
same, which statement and explanatory plat and profile shall
