erected, and said building committees shall also, in like manner,
determine upon the proper furnishing of the rooms of said
buildings, and at such time as they may deem proper advertise
for such furniture as in their discretion will be suitable for
said buildings, and shall award the contract therefor to the
lowest responsible bidder; provided, however, that the entire
cost of erecting and furnishing said buildings shall not in any
case exceed the amount hereby appropriated for the same, and
provided said building committees or either of them may
reject any or all such bids.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That said building committees and
each of them upon entering into any contract as mentioned in
the preceding section shall forthwith make reports to the
Board of County School Commissioners of Anne Arundel
county, fully setting forth the terms and character of said con-
tract or contracts and the debts incurred thereby.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That for the purpose of erecting
and furnishing said school buildings and for the purpose of pur-
chasing suitable lots for the same where necessary, the Board of
County School Commissioners of Anne Arundel county is here-
by authorized and directed to issue bonds in the name of the
Board of County School Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County, endorsed by the County Commissioners of Anne Arun-
del (which endorsement the said County Commissioners are
hereby authorized and required to give) to the amount of five
thousand dollars, to be apportioned as follows: Two thousand
dollars for the purchase of a lot and the erecting and furnishing
of the school building at Harman's, and one thousand dollars
for the purchase of a lot and the erecting and furnishing of a
school building at or near Dorsey's Station, and two thousand
dollars for the purchase of a lot and erecting and furnishing of
a school building within a mile northeast of Friendship school.
Said bonds shall be issued in sums of not less than one hundred
dollars nor more than one thousand dollars each, and shall be
signed by the president of the said Board of County School
Commissioners and countersigned by the secretary of said
board, with the corporate seal of said board attached; and
said bonds shall be dated the 1st day of July, 1908, and shall
bear interest at the rate of five per centum per annum, payable
on the 1st day of January and July of each year, until the said
bonds are respectively paid; for which semi-annual interest
proper interest coupons payable to bearer shall be issued, and
shall be forever exempt from all taxation other than State pur-
poses, and shall have printed upon them a distinct reference to
this Act as authorizing the issue thereof. Said bonds shall be
endorsed by the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
