589 of the Acts of 1906, to be known as section 79A, pro-
hibiting the killing of raccoons, opossums and muskrats for
the season of 1908.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and the same is hereby added to
article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel
County, " sub-title "Birds, Game and Foxes, " to follow section
79, as enacted by chapter 589 of the Acts of 1906, to be known
as section 79A, and to read as follows:

SEC. 79A. Notwithstanding the provisions of the above sec-
tion, it shall not be lawful for any person to catch, kill or have
in his possession any raccoon, opossum or muskrat from the
. date of the passage of this Act until the open season for such
animals as provided in the aforegoing section in the year 1909,
and anyone so catching, killing or having in his possession any
raccoon, opossum or muskrat during such period shall, upon
conviction, be fined the sum of five dollars and costs for every
such raccoon, opossum or muskrat so caught, killed or held in
possession; provided, however, that nothing in this Act shall
be understood to change any provision of the aforegoing or any
other section except in so far as it relates to raccoons, opos-
sums and muskrats, and that at the end of the period as stated
in this Act, the said section, in so far as it applies to said
animals, shall revive and be in full force.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 723.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 105
of article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Anne
Arundel County, " sub-title "Brooklyn, " as enacted by chap-
ter 284 of the Acts of 1904, so as to provide for the appoint-
ment of two physicians to perform certain public services
in the first and third precincts of the Fifth Election District
of Anne Arundel county; to provide salaries for the phy-
sicians so appointed, and to prescribe the manner of holding
coroner's inquests by the police magistrates in said precincts.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 105 of article 2 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Anne Arundel County, " sub-title "Brooklyn, " as
Enacted by chapter 284 of the Acts of 1904, be and the same is
hereby amended so as to read as follows:
