of said school teachers herein provided for, and to collect the
same as other taxes.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

ARTICLE II.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY.

CHAPTER 696.

AN ACT to repeal sections 57 and 58 of article 2 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel
County, " sub-title "Annapolis, " and to re-enact the same
with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sections 57 and 58 of article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel County, " sub-
title "Annapolis, " be and the same are hereby repealed and
re-enacted so as to read as follows:

SEC. 57. The annual tax levy shall be made by the Mayor,
Counsellor and Aldermen in each succeeding year, beginning
with the year 1908, on or before the first day of August, and
said taxes shall be due and payable fifteen days after the
publication of the ordinance imposing the tax rate.

SEC. 58. The Mayor, Counsellor and Aldermen of the city
of Annapolis shall have full power and authority in all par-
ticulars to provide by ordinance for the levying of taxes for
municipal purposes upon the assessable property within the
limits of said city, of whatsoever kind, and also to provide for
the enforcement of the collection of said taxes.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the following new sections
be and they are hereby added to said sub-title, to come in after
section 58, and to be designated as sections 58A, 58e, 58c and
58D.

SEC. 58A. It shall be the duty of the collector and treasurer
during the month of March succeeding each levy to make out
all tax bills which have not been paid, in duplicate form, and
shall place the same in the hands of some person to be appointed
by him for the purpose, to be delivered to the parties owing the
