who shall be clothed with the same powers and duties as the
managers heretofore provided for, so that the number of the
Board of Managers to be appointed by the Governor shall con-
sist of seven persons, and the additional member of the said
board shall be appointed by the Governor, by and with the
advice and consent of the Senate, to serve for a term of six
years from the first day of May, 1908.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 161.

AN ACT creating a State Board of Agriculture and making
the board of trustees of the Maryland Agricultural College
ex officio, the State Board of Agriculture.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a State Board of Agriculture for Maryland is hereby

created.

SEC. 2. That the board of trustees of the Maryland Agricul-
tural college as constituted from time to time shall be ex
officio the Maryland State Board of Agriculture.

SEC. 3. That the directors of the Maryland Agricultural
Experiment Station shall be ex officio the secretary of the Mary-
land State Board of Agriculture, and be the executive officer of
the board when they are not in session, and take charge of all
of the correspondence of the board or other business which they
may assign to the secretary.

SEC. 4. That all Acts or parts of Acts inconsistent with this
Act shall be and the same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
