CHAPTER 254.
AN ACT making appropriations for the support of the State
Government for the fiscal year ending on the thirtieth day of
September, nineteen hundred and ten.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That for the expenditures in the support of the State Gov-
ernment for the fiscal year beginning with the first day of Octo-
ber, nineteen hundred and nine, and ending with the thirtieth
day of September, nineteen hundred and ten, the following sums
of money, or so much thereof as may be necessary, be and the
same are hereby appropriated, that is to say:
FOR STATE OFFICERS.
For the salary of the Governor, four thousand five hundred
dollars; for the salary of the Secretary of State, two thousand
dollars; for the salary of the chief clerk to the Governor, eigh-
teen hundred dollars; for the salary of one clerk to the Gov-
ernor, twelve hundred dollars; for the salary of the messenger
to the Governor, one thousand dollars; for the salary of a
stenographer to the Governor, twelve hundred dollars; for the
salary of the Comptroller of the Treasury, two thousand five
hundred dollars; for the salary of the chief clerk to the Comp-
troller, two thousand dollars; for the salaries of three assistant
clerks to the Comptroller, fifteen hundred dollars each, forty-
five hundred dollars; for the salaries of two assistant clerks to
the Comptroller, twelve hundred dollars each, twenty-four hun-
dred dollars; for the salary of the Treasurer of the State, two
thousand five hundred dollars; for the salary of the chief
clerk to the Treasurer, two thousand dollars; for the salary of
one assistant clerk to the Treasurer, eighteen hundred dollars;
for the salary of one assistant clerk to the Treasurer, fifteen
hundred dollars; for the salary of the one assistant clerk to the
Treasurer, twelve hundred dollars; for the salary of the chief
clerk to the State Tax Commissioner, eighteen hundred dollars;
three thousand dollars for the salary of two assistant clerks to
the State Tax Commissioner; for the salary of one assistant
clerk to the State Tax Commissioner, twelve hundred dollars;
for the salary of the State Librarian, fifteen hundred dollars;
for the salary of the indexer and cataloguer, twelve hundred
dollars; for the salary of a medical assistant to the State Board
of Health, one thousand dollars; for the salary of the Adjutant
General, two thousand dollars; for the salary of the Commis-
sioner of the Land Office, fifteen hundred dollars; for the salary
of the chief clerk to the Commissioner of the Land Office,
eighteen hundred dollars; for the salary of one assistant clerk
