of the same or any member of said club shall be deemed service
upon said club for the purpose of this Act, for the appearance
of said club to answer said charge and for the imposition of the
penalty prescribed by this Act if in the judgment of the justice
of the peace the provisions of this Act imposing the forfeiture
and penalty have been violated; and provided further, that
nothing in this Act shall be deemed to allow or permit said club
members to push one another or any other person or persons
with the purpose of hunting, shooting or trapping upon the
waters of the Patuxent river, its tributaries or marshes of
said river or tributaries, any wild goose, wild duck, snipe or
ortolan, reed bird or birds, or wild fowl of any kind at any
season of the year, or to conflict in any way with the provisions
of section 3 of chapter 471 1/2 of the Acts of 1906.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

MISCELLANEOUS APPROPRIATIONS.
CHAPTER 1.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay the members
and officers of the General Assembly of 1908, including post-
age, stationery, mileage and miscellaneous expenses.
WHEREAS, By chapter 818 of the laws of 1900 the sum of one
hundred and fifty thousand ($150, 000) dollars, or so much
thereof as may be necessary, was appropriated to pay the mem-
bers and officers of the General Assembly of 1908, including
postage, stationery, mileage and miscellaneous expenses; and
WHEREAS, Said appropriation of one hundred and fifty thous-
and ($150, 000) dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary,
was vetoed by Edwin Warfield, the then Governor of Mary-
land; and
WHEREAS, By virtue of said veto the Legislature of 190'8 has
no money available to defray the legitimate and proper expenses
of the Legislature, it is therefore necessary and essential that a
sum of money sufficient to meet such expenses should be
appropriated; now therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sum of one hundred and seventy thousand
($170, 000) dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, be
and the same is hereby appropriated for the purpose of paying
the president of the Senate a per diem of eight dollars, for the
