several organizations, and authorized by the Adjutant General,
shall be deducted from the amount appropriated as aforesaid;
and any part of the allotments made as aforesaid remaining
unexpended at the end of any fiscal year shall be expended for
the benefit of the organization to which it was allotted, in such
manner as may be suggested by the commanding officer of such
organization forwarded through regular military channels,
provided, that all warrants for such moneys shall pass down
through the regular military channels, and that no warrant
shall be issued to any regiment or separate organization except
on the requisition of the commanding officers thereof; and, pro-
vided further, that such requisition shall be forwarded through
military channels; proper allowance, however, shall be made
to the headquarters of the brigade and of the respective regi-
ments and separate organizations for necessary and proper
outlays and expenses in inspecting said commands, and in
maintenance of discipline and efficiency.

SEC. 83. The commanding officer of each regiment or separate
organization, or such other officer as may be by him des-
ignated as treasurer or fiscal officer thereof, as above provided,
shall give a good and sufficient bond to the State of Maryland,
to be approved by the Adjutant General, for the full and true
performance of his duties under Section 82 of this Article, as
disbursing officer.

SEC. 84. No person belonging to the active militia of this
State shall be arrested on any process except such as may be
issued by military authority, while going to, remaining at, or
returning from any place at which he may be required to
attend for military duty.

SEC. 85. Any person belonging to the military forces of this
State, going to or returning from any parade, encampment,
drill or other meeting which he may be required by law to
attend, shall, together with his conveyance and military prop-
erty, be allowed to pass through all toll gates and over all toll
roads, bridges and ferries, if he is in uniform or presents an
order for duty or certificate of membership in the active militia,
free of charge.

SEC. 86. Every member of the active militia shall be exempt
from jury duty, provided he shall present the certificate of
his immediate commanding officer to the effect that he has
performed the duties required of him for the year immediately
preceding the summons to act as juryman, and every such
member who shall have received a full and honorable discharge
shall be exempt for the three years next succeeding his discharge
from all jury duty. Every regiment or separate organization
