of money from the moneys now in the Treasury of the State,
to the credit of the tobacco warehouse fund to carry out
the provisions of this Act.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 1 of the Act passed at this present session of
the General Assembly of this State, entitled An Act to authorize
and provide for the building of a new State Tobacco Warehouse
in the city of Baltimore; for the payment for said building (in-
cluding removal of old buildings, plans, specifications, equip-
ments, and furniture) from the moneys now in the Treasury of
the State of Maryland to the credit of the tobacco warehouse
fund; for the naming of a Commission to have general charge
of said building operations, expenditures and disbursements;
and for the location in said new warehouse of certain offices for
the use of the tobacco industry in the State of Maryland, be and
the same is hereby amended and re-enacted so as to read as
follows: and the sum of ten thousand dollars, or so much
thereof as may be necessary to be taken from the moneys now
in the Treasury of this State for the credit of the tobacco
warehouse fund, is hereby. appropriated to carry out the pur-
poses of this Act.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new State Tobacco Warehouse shall be erected
upon one or more of the sites of the existing State Tobacco
Warehouses in the city of Baltimore. Said new warehouse shall
be fireproof, of not less than six stories in height, and equipped
with all modern appliances for the inspection and storage of
tobacco, and shall contain, in addition to the office or offices nec-
essary for the transaction of the business of said inspection and
storage, such office or offices as may be needed by any incorp-
porated association or associations of Maryland tobacco
growers in connection with the tobacco industry; such office
or offices to be furnished, free of rent, to such association or
associations by the Board of Public Works. And if, in the
judgment of the Board of Public Works and the Commission
appointed by said hereinbefore mentioned Act passed at this
present session of the General Assembly, it shall be deemed
necessary or expedient for the better location and construction
of said new tobacco warehouse to be erected under the provis-
ions of said Act, that title shall be acquired to the ten-foot
alley and other space lying immediately adjacent on the east
of the site of the existing State Tobacco Warehouses in the
city of Baltimore, north of Conway street, which said ten-foot
alley, by the recent widening of Light street, is immediately
in front on the east of the sites of said warehouses, then and in
that event power is hereby conferred upon the said Commission
