title "Pleading, Practice and Process, " to be known as Sec-
tion 201A.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and the same hereby is added to
Article 16 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland,
title "Chancery, " sub-title "Pleading, Practice and Process, " to
follow Section 201 and to be known as Section 201A, and to
read as follows; provided, however, that nothing contained in
this Act shall affect a lien or claim existing prior to the pas-
sage of this Act.
. 201A. Whenever in any proceeding in a court of equity a
decree for the payment of costs or any other decree for the
payment of money is made by the court against a plaintiff, the
clerk shall forthwith index the name of such plaintiff in a
separate index, to be known as Index of Plaintiffs, and no lien
under such decree shall arise against the real or leasehold prop-
erty of such plaintiff, and no right of execution on such decree
shall accrue until the name of such plaintiff is so indexed.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CLERKS OF COURTS.
CHAPTER 404.
AN ACT to add additional sections to Article 17 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland of 1904, title "Clerks of
Courts, " sub-title "General Duties of Clerks, " to come in after
Section 23, and to be known as Section 23A, 23B and 23c, re-
lating to the recording of decrees in divorce cases.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That three additional sections be and the same are hereby
added to Article 17 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland of 1904, title "Clerks of Courts, " sub-title "General
Duties of Clerks, " to come in after Section 23, to be known as
Sections 23A, 23B and 23C, to read as follows:
SEC. 23A. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the clerks of the several circuit courts for the coun-
ties, and of the Circuit Court, of Baltimore City, and of the
Circuit Court No. 2 of Baltimore City shall each keep a well-
bound book in which they shall cause to be recorded all final
decrees passed in all proceedings for divorce.
