SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That said board shall report to
the Legislature at its next session, and from time thereafter
as said board may deem proper, an account of its trans-
actions and its advice and recommendations as required by
Section 1 of the Act of 1896, Chapter 264.
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 486.
AN ACT to create a commission to revise the laws of the State
of Maryland relating to the desertion and non-support of
wives and children; also to revise the laws relating to the
arrest, trial, commitment, detention, punishment and cus-
tody of minor children; and to recommend to the next Gen-
eral Assembly such amendments to the laws of the State
relating to the above-mentioned subjects as said commission
may deem advisable.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Governor be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to appoint a commission to consist of five discreet per-
sons, at least three of whom shall be residents of Baltimore
city.
SEC. 2. It shall be the duty of said commission to make a
thorough examination and revision of the laws of this State
relating to the desertion and non-support of wives and chil-
dren; also of the laws relating to the arrest, trial, commitment,
detention, punishment and custody of minor children; and to
prepare and submit to the next General Assembly of this State
a report embodying the results of said examination, together
with such recommendations, if any, for revising and improving
said laws, as said commission may deem advisable.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
