PRIVATE ACTS. 1481

Whereas Severn W. Croswell, owner of the sloop called
"Edna G. Croswell," loaned said sloop to the said Fishery
Force, in charge of the Manokin river, in Somerset county, to
aid in guarding said river during the month of January, 1905.
charge to said force, and whilst so used the said sloop broke
loose during a heavy storm on the twenty-sixth day of January,
1905, and was caught in the floating ice and carried by it from
said river to Cape Charles, in Virginia, whereby the said
anchor was lost and said sloop and her appliances damaged,
necessitating repairs thereto at a cost to the said owner of
$100 for the recovery and repairs to said boat.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to issue his warrant upon the Treas-
ury of the State in favor of Severn W. Croswell, of Somerset
county, for the sum of $100.00, the same being for damages
and loss so sustained and caused as aforesaid by him by
reason of the damage and recovery of his said sloop, whilst in
the custody and use of the State Fishery Force as aforesaid,
out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 732.
AN ACT to incorporate the Italian Bank of Baltimore City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Vincenzo Ambrose, Rosario Marino, Guilio Ferri,
Vincent J. Demarco, Salvatore Demarco, M. D., Raphael Del-
guidco and Garnett Y. Clark, all of Baltimore city, and sub-
scribers to the stock of the corporation hereby created, and
their successors and assigns, be and they are hereby created
a body corporate by the name of "Italian Bank of Baltimore
City," and by that name shall have perpetual succession, and
shall be competent to sue and be sued in any court of law or
equity whatever; to have and use a common seal and alter
the same at its pleasure; to make and adopt by-laws, rules and
regulations for the government of said body corporate and its
officers, provided the same shall not conflict with the Consti-
tution and laws of this State or of the United States; to elect
directors, and generally do, execute and enforce all and singu-
lar such acts, contracts, matters and things as may be neces-
sary to carry out the object and protect the interest of said
