and running southerly toward the town of Dawsoriville, Mont-
gomery county, for a distance of two miles.
111. To I. M. Swettenheim and Blanche T. Newman, of the
city of New York, as executor and executrix of the estate of
Henry Newman, deceased, for. the purchase of an historical
painting by Emanuel Leutze, entitled "The Settlement of Mary-
land," the sum of eleven thousand five hundred dollars.
112. To the United Patriotic Home for Orphan Children of
Maryland, the sum of five hundred dollars for the fiscal year
1909. and the like sum of five hundred dollars for the fiscal
year 1910.
113. To the Board of Public Works, for causing to be made
a copy of the portrait of Cecelius Calvert, now in the custody
of the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts, in Philadelphia, in-
cluding the frame, six hundred dollars, or so much thereof as
may be necessary.
114. To the Henry Watson Children's Aid Society, the sum
of one thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and a like sum
for the fiscal year 1910.
115. To the St. Mary's Academy of St. Mary's County, the
sum of fifteen hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the
like sum for the fiscal year 1910.
116. To the Shelter of the Aged and Infirm Colored Persons,
the sum of five hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and a
like sum for the fiscal year 1910.
117. To the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of the State of
Maryland, the sum of twelve thousand five hundred dollars for
a new library building for the fiscal year 1909. and a like sum
of twelve thousand five hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1910.
118. To the St. Vincent's Infant Asylum, the sum of twelve
thousand five hundred dollars for the erection of a new build-
ing for the fiscal year 1909, and a like sum for the fiscal year
1910.
119. To the Trustees of the Chase Home of Aged Women of
Annapolis, for the use of said Chase Home, the sum of five hun-
dred dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the like sum for the
fiscal year 1910.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer of the State
shall upon the warrant of the Comptroller of the Treasury, pay
the said sums of money herein appropriated for the objects and
purposes hereinafter specified to or upon of the order of the per-
son or persons, or body corporate entitled to receive the same;
