8. To the Baltimore Manual Labor School, the sum of three
thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the like sum of
three thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1910.
9. To the Industrial Home for Colored Girls, the sum of
twenty-five hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the
like sum of twenty-five hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1910.
10. To the Maryland Institute for the Promotion of Me-
chanics' Arts, the sum of fifteen thousand dollars for the fiscal
year 1909, and the like sum of fifteen thousand dollars for the
fiscal year 1910; provided, one free scholar be received from
each county of the State, and one from each legislative district
of Baltimore city, to be selected by the School Commissioners
of the counties and Baltimore city, respectively, upon the ap-
proval of the State Senator of each county and the legislative
districts of Baltimore city.
11. To the Home of the Friendless of Baltimore City, the
sum of four thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the
like sum of four thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1910.
12. To the House of the Good Shepherd, the sum of three
thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the like sum of
three thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1910, to be issued in
accordance with the provisions of section 328 of article 27 of
the Code of Public General Laws.
13. To the St. Mary's Female Orphan Asylum of Baltimore,
the sum of forty-five hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1909,
and the like sum of forty-five hundred dollars for the fiscal year
1910.
14. To St. Mary's Industrial School, the sum of twenty
thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the like sum of
twenty thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1910.
15. To the Home of the Friendless Children of the Eastern
Shore of Maryland, the sum of one thousand dollars for the
fiscal year 1909, and the like sum of one thousand dollars for
fiscal year 1910.
16. To the Baltimore Orphan Asylum, the sum of two thou-
sand dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the like sum of two
thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1910.
17. To the Maryland Line Confederate Soldiers' Home at
Pikesville, the sum of twelve thousand dollars for the fiscal
year 1909, and the like sum of twelve thousand dollars for the
fiscal year 1910.
18. To the board of trustees of the St. Mary's Female Semi-
nary, the sum of forty-five hundred dollars for the fiscal year
