PRIVATE ACTS. 1375
CHAPTER 255.
AN ACT to appropriate certain sums of money to the support
of sundry schools and charitable institutions in the State of
Maryland, for each of the two fiscal years ending on the
thirtieth day of September, 1909, and on the thirtieth day of
September, 1910, respectively.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sums of money hereinafter named be and they
are hereby appropriated to the support of the hereinafter men-
tioned schools and charitable institutions in the State, for each
of the two fiscal years ending on the thirtieth day of September,
1909. and on the thirtieth day of September, 1910, respectively,
to wit:
1. To F. Knapp's English and German Institute, for the
training and education of indigent mutes, the sum of twelve
hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the like sum of
twelve hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1910; and in consid-
eration of said appropriation the said F. Knapp's English and
German Institute is hereby required and directed to maintain
twelve free scholarships, heretofore established in said insti-
tute for the training and education of indigent mutes, and to
train and educate twelve indigent mutes, and to furnish them
with necessary text-books, appliances, etc.
2. To the Boys' Home Society of Baltimore City, the sum of
two thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the like sum
of two thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1910.
3. To the Little Sisters of the Poor of Baltimore City, the
sum of one thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the
like sum of one thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1910.
4. To the General German Aged People's Home of Baltimore
City, the sum of fifteen hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1909,
and the like sum of fifteen hundred dollars for the fiscal year
1910.
5. To the General German Orphan Asylum of Baltimore
City, the sum of twenty-five hundred dollars for the fiscal year
1909, and the like sum of twenty-five hundred dollars for the
fiscal year 1910.
6. To the Hebrew Orphan Asylum of Baltimore City, the
sum of three thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the
like sum of three thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1910.
7. To the St. Vincent's Infant Asylum of Baltimore City, the
sum of five thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the
like sum of five thousand dollars for the fiscal vear 1910.
