CHAPTER 662.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners of
Harford county to grant a pension of seventy-five dollars
per year to H. Asbury Jones, of said county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Harford county be and
they are authorized and directed to levy and pay annually to
H. Asbury Jones, of said county, the sum of seventy-five dol-
lars.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 669.
AN ACT to incorporate the Peoples' Loan, Savings and Deposit
Bank.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That John W. Matthews, William H. Medford and Rob-
ert H. Matthews be and they are hereby appointed commis-
sioners to take subscriptions to the capital stock of the "Peo-
ples' Loan, Savings and Deposit Bank," hereby incorporated,
and that they, or a majority of them, may cause books to be
opened at such times and places and for such period or periods
as they may deem expedient, and may reopen the same from
time to time for the purpose of receiving subscriptions to said
capital stock until the whole amount of said capital stock shall
have been subscribed for and taken; if any of the above men-
tioned commissioners shall die, resign or refuse to act, another
or others may be appointed in his or their stead by a majority
of the remaining commissioners, aiid the said commissioners, in
their discretion, may elect two more to serve with them.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the subscribers to said stock
and their successors and assigns, shall be and they are hereby
declared to be incorporated into a body corporate by the name
of "Peoples' Loan, Saving and Deposit Bank," and by that
name shall have perpetual success, and be capable in law to
acquire and hold, and in anywise dispose of property, and by
such corporate name to sue and be sued, plead and be im-
pleaded, in any court whatever; to have and use a common seal
and to alter the same at its pleasure, and generally to do, exe-
cute and enforce all and singular such acts, contracts, matters
and things as may be necessary or proper to carry into effect
the provisions of this Act, or to protect the interests and pro-
