1322 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Act or for any other purposes shall be construed to authorize it
to acquire in that way any land, property or rights on the Sus-
quehanna river from Port Deposit to the State line between
Maryland and Pennsylvania in Cecil county or between Lapi-
dum and the State line between Maryland and Pennsylvania
in Harford county.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6, 1908.

CHAPTER 578.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Prince George's county to pay unto Charles L.
Turner and J. Frederick Waters the sum of twenty-five dol-
lars each for services rendered as Supervisors of Election for
said county in performing the duties imposed upon them by
the provisions of chapter 703 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland at the session of 1906.

Whereas Charles L. Turner and J. Frederick Waters, of the
Board of Election Supervisors of Prince George's county, were
present sitting for five days during the year 1907, as required
by the provisions of chapter 703 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland of 1906, and there is no provision of the ex-
isting law authorizing any compensation for said services,
therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of County Commissioners of Prince
George's county be and it is hereby authorized and directed to
pay unto Charles L. Turner and J. Frederick Waters the sum of
twenty-five dollars each for services rendered as aforesaid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 579.

AN ACT to amend the charter of the Dime Savings Bank of
Baltimore City, so as to authorize said bank to increase its
capital stock and to engage in and conduct a general bank-
ing business.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Dime Savings Bank of Baltimore City, a corpo-
