ing secretary, financial secretary and treasurer, any of which
offices may be filled from among the directors or from among
the members of said association.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That Jacob H. Reinhard, Henry
D. Housley, John G. Hofman, August Klappoth, Charles B.
Frey, Walter A. Hopkins, Herman Meyer, John B. Smidt and
Samuel W. Wagner shall be and comprise the directors of the
Lansdowne Improvement Association of Baltimore County
until the first election of directors to be held on the first Tues-
day after the first Monday in January in the year 1909, and
that the following shall be and comprise the officers of said
Lansdowne Improvement Association of Baltimore County
until -the first annual election to be held on the first Tuesday
after the first Monday in January, 1909: Jacob H. Reinhard,
president; W. Rolf Taylor, vice-president; John W. Lehner,
recording secretary; William E. Fox, financial secretary, and
William Linkenbring, Sr., treasurer.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the members of the Lans-
downe Improvement Association of Baltimore County shall
have full power to adopt a constitution and by-laws, and such
rules and regulations as in its judgment may be advisable, and
not in conflict with the law of the land, and particularly make
provision for the manner of holding elections for directors and
officers at such hours and by such method as it shall provide by
its constitution and by-laws.
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That said association shall have
full power and authority to accept from the County Commis-
sioners of Baltimore county, any and all sums of money that
may be levied upon the property in the village of Lansdowne,
and to expend same for the improvement of its streets and side-
walks, and to maintain said village in a sanitary condition.
SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That the Lansdowne Improvement
Association of Baltimore County shall have all the powers con-
ferred upon improvement associations by article 23 of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland.
SEC. 9. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
