PRIVATE ACTS. 1305

Charles T. Picking and Carrie Picking, his wife, in lawful
wedlock; and that in case the said Eva Lee Henry inherits
property from her adopted parents, upon her dying intestate,
without -issue, the property thus inherited shall descend and be
distributed to the same persons who would take the same by
inheritance, and in course of distribution the same as if she
had been the child of the adopted parents in lawful wedlock;
provided, however, that this Act shall not limit or interfere
with the power of disposition over such property by gift,
grant, devise, bequest or otherwise by said adopted child.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 483.

AN ACT to declare the sanction and the consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to certain gifts, grants, sales and
deeds made and to be made by various persons and corpora-
tions to and for the use and benefit of sundry and religious
corporations, educational institutions, denominations or
sects, and charitable institutions hereinafter named.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of said General Assembly
of Maryland be and the same is hereby declared given and
granted to the following gifts, grants, sales, conveyances and
deeds made and to be made to and of the hereinafter described
land, situate, lying and being in Montgomery county in the said
State of Maryland, to and from certain persons and bodies
corporate, to and for the use of certain religious and educa-
tional corporations, orders, denominations or sects and charita-
ble institutions, as herein set forth.

1. To the making of a deed in the future by William W.
Prescott and Sarah F. Prescott, his wife, to the General Con-
ference Corporation of Seventh-day Adventists, duly incorpor-
ated under the laws of the District of Columbia for their in-
terest in and to the following described lots and tracts of land,
situate, lying and being in Montgomery county, in the State
of Maryland, to wit: Lots five and six and the north sixty and
sixty-six hundredths feet of lots twelve, thirteen and fourteen
(bordering on Tulip avenue) of block five of Lipscomb and
Earnest, Trustees' Addition to Takoma Park. Lots one, two,
three, four, five, six, seven, the north fifteen feet of lot ten
adjoining lot eleven, lots eleven, twelve, thirteen and fourteen
of block six of said Lipscomb and Earnest. Trustees' Addition
