PRIVATE ACTS. 1301

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the State be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to draw his warrant on the Treasurer
of the State in the sum of one hundred and sixty ($160) dol-
lars, in favor of the Underwood Typewriter Company, in pay-
ment for two typewriting machines furnished the Senate of the
General Assembly of Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6, 1908.

CHAPTER 456.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay the claim of
Charles J. Byrne for balance of salary due him as receiving
clerk in State Tobacco Warehouse No. 1, during the year
nineteen hundred and two.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Treasurer of the State of Maryland, upon the
warrant of the Comptroller of the Treasury, who is hereby
authorized and directed to issue the same, be and he is hereby
directed to pay to Charles J. Byrne the sum of one hundred and
ninety-seven dollars and thirty-eight cents out of the State
Tobacco Warehouse fund, the same being due and unpaid for
services rendered as receiving clerk in State Tobacco Ware-
house No. 1, during the year nineteen hundred and two, under
Nathaniel W. Brome, inspector at said warehouse.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6, 1908.

CHAPTER 467.

AN ACT to amend the charter of the ' Washington Grove Camp
Meeting Association of the District of Columbia and Mary-
land," as the same was incorporated by chapter 135 of the
Acts of 1874, entitled An Act to incorporate the Washington
Grove Camp Meeting Association of the District of Columbia
and Maryland, and as amended by chapter 90 of the Acts of
1886 and chapter 19 of the Acts of 1890, and to change the
name of the aforesaid corporation, and also to repeal and
re-enact with amendments section 6 of chapter 135 of the
Acts of 1874, as amended by chapter 19 of the Acts of 1890.
