PRIVATE ACTS. 1297

Diocese of Maryland, said deed bearing date the twenty-second
day of November, 1906, and recorded among the Land Records
of Baltimore city in Liber R. O., No. 2290, folio 188, etc.

49. To the deed from Mortimer W. West and wife to the
Convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church of the Diocese
of Maryland, by deed bearing date the eighteenth day of July,
1907, and recorded among the Land Records of Baltimore city
in Liber R. O., No. 2354, folio 164, etc.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the sanction and consent of
the General Assembly of Maryland be and the same are hereby
given, granted and declared to the acquisition by the several
religious denominations or sects, orders or corporations here-
inbefo're in this Act mentioned or named, at any time hereafter,
whether by gift, grant or otherwise, of the fee simple title
to the lots of land aforementioned, in which they are respec-
tively entitled to leasehold interest or less than a fee simple,
title, by virtue of the several deeds, gifts, grants, bequests or
devises aforementioned, and by virtue of the sanction herein-
before, by the first section of this Act given, and to the holding,
sale, mortgaging, leasing or otherwise disposing of the same.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 421.
AN ACT to refund to the Commissioners of Aberdeen, a mu-
nicipal corporation of the State of Maryland, the sums of
money paid by said corporation to the treasurer of Harford
county, and covered into the Treasury of the State for State
taxes erroneously levied upon the properties of said corpora-
tion.

Whereas the said Commissioners of Aberdeen, an incorpora-
ted town in the State of Maryland, is the owner of several
properties located in the town of Aberdeen, in Harford county,
and consisting of a lot and building used as an engine house
for keeping the fire engine and apparatus belonging to said
Commissioners of Aberdeen and for a meeting room for said
Commissioners, and of a lot whereon stands the lockup of
said Commissioners, and of the water works belonging to
said Commissioners, and of the electric lighting plant and
system belonging to said Commissioners; and

Whereas the said properties were by the County Commission-
ers of Harford county erroneously assessed for taxation, inas-
