CHAPTER 284.
AN ACT to amend the charter of the Valley Savings Bank of
Middletown, Frederick county, Maryland, a corporation duly
formed under the provisions of the Code 'of Public General
Laws of Maryland, by providing for the number of directors
of said corporation to be increased.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That article 6 of the charter of the Valley Savings Bank
of Middletown, Frederick county, Maryland, a corporation
duly formed under the provisions of the Code of Public
General Laws of this State, title "Corporations," sub-title
"Savings Institutions," which was duly incorporated by certi-
ficate recorded under the provisions of the general incorpora-
tion laws of the State of Maryland, in the Record of Corpora-
tions No. 2, folio 83, in the office of the clerk of the Circuit
Court for Frederick county, be and the same is hereby amended
so as to read as follows:
ART. 6. The affairs of this corporation shall be managed by
a board of directors consisting of not less than nine nor more
than eighteen directors, to be elected annually at such time
and place as may be provided for in the by-laws of said cor-
poration.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all the other powers
possessed by said corporation under its said certificate of in-
corporation are hereby ratified and confirmed.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 287.
AN ACT to amend the charter of the Maryland Prisoners Aid
Association of the City of Baltimore, by changing the name
of said association and increasing its powers, and to make
an annual appropriation for the same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the charter of the Maryland Prisoners Aid Associa-
tion of the City of Baltimore, a body corporate, without capi-
tal stock, duly incorporated under the Public General Laws of
