establish, promote and maintain automobile and motor car
racing and to acquire and maintain the necessary grounds for
such purposes; to fix admission fees and dispose of privileges of
every character, upon its grounds, whether owned or rented, to
establish and maintain hotels, restaurants, amusements and
entertainments which the board of directors .may deem proper;
to lay tracks, run cars and establish an electric plant upon
its grounds for the purpose of supplying its own needs and of
those acquiring privileges on said grounds, to arrange for races
from time to time and regulate the entry in such races of auto-
mobiles and motor cars of every description; to appoint judges
and award premiums, if any, from time to time, as in the judg-
ment of the board of directors may be deemed advisable and ex-
pedient for the promotion of the objects and purposes for which
said corporation has been formed.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That said corporation
shall have and enjoy all the general powers, provisions and
privileges, and be subject to the general regulations contained
in article 23 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland,
relating to the formation, powers and regulation of corpora-
tions, so far as the same may not be inconsistent or in conflict
with the special or general powers, privileges, rights and ad-
vantages conferred or intended so to be by this Act.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 207.

AN ACT to pay the claim of E. Oliver Grimes, Jr., and William
L. Seabrook, receivers in cause No. 4201 Equity in the Circuit
Court of Carroll county, sitting as a court of equity, for pub-
lishing in the "American Sentinel," a newspaper published in
Carroll county, Maryland, certain Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland of the session of 1906, which were desig-
nated to be published in said paper.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to issue his warrant upon the Treas-
urer for the sum of three hundred dollars ($300.00) in favor
of the said E. Oliver Grimes, Jr., and William L. Seabrook, re-
ceivers in cause No. 4201 Equity in the Circuit Court for Car-
roll county, sitting as a court of equity, for publishing in the
"American Sentinel," a newspaper published in Carroll county,
