1226 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Whereas the Oheb Sholom Congregation of Baltimore City
was incorporated on the 25th day of November, in the year
1854, by virtue of the general provisions of the Act of Assembly
made and passed at the January session, 1852, said Act being
an Act relating to incorporating societies for useful and bene-
ficial purposes; and

Whereas the said charter provided that the said corporation
should enure fifty years; and

Whereas the said charter had expired before 1906; and

Whereas the said Oheb Sholom Congregation of Baltimore
City is still conducted as a religious corporation; and

Whereas the General Assembly of Maryland at the January
session thereof in 1906 did, by chapter 390 of the Laws of
Maryland for 1906, revive and extend the said charter for
forty years; and

Whereas it is desirable that the existence of this religious
corporation be made perpetual; now, therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the charter of the Oheb Sholom Congregation of
Baltimore City, granted by virtue of the Act of Assembly, made
and passed at the January session of 1852, said charter having
been approved by William Frick, judge of the Superior Court
of Baltimore city on the 25th day of November, in the year
1854, and revived and extended by chapter 390 of the Laws of
Maryland, pasged at the January session of the Legislature
of Maryland in the year 1906, be and the same is hereby made
perpetual.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That the said congrega-
tion under said charter hereby made perpetual shall have all
the rights and privileges and be subject to all the obligations
which the said Oheb Sholom Congregation of Baltimore City
had under the said charter granted on the 25th day of No-
vember, 1854.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the said Oheb Sholom
Congregation of Baltimore City shall be managed by a presi-
dent, vice-president, treasurer and nine trustees, as heretofore;
that the time and manner of election or selection, and the term
of office of the said officers and trustees shall be provided by
and be in accordance with the constitution and by-laws of
said body corporate.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
