PRIVATE ACTS. 1213
General Assembly of Maryland for the , session of nine-
teen hundred and eight.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and is hereby
authorized to issue his warrant upon Treasurer for the sum
of eight thousand one hundred and fifty-five and 97-100 dol-
lars, in favor of the said William J. C. Dulany Company for
supplies furnished the Executive Department, the Court of
Appeals, the Library of the State for the years nineteen hun-
dred and six and nineteen hundred and seven, and the General
Assembly of Maryland for the session of nineteen hundred
and eight, the said supplies having been contracted for under
the provisions of chapter 397, Acts of 1904.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 82.
AN ACT to amend the charter of the Society for the Protection
of Children of Baltimore City.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the charter of the Society for the Protection of
Children of Baltimore City, a body incorporated under the
General Laws of Maryland, is hereby amended by way of
substitution therefor of the provisions herein contained.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said corporation shall here-
after be known as the Maryland Society for the Protection of
Children, and by that name shall have perpetual succession.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the objects of the society
shall be the care, guardianship and protection of minors
throughout the State.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the terms and conditions of
membership shall be such as may be prescribed by the by-laws
of the society.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the affairs of the society shall
be managed by a board of directors, consisting of not less than
six nor more than fifteen members, whose number, within said
limits, time and manner of election, term of service and
duties shall be such as may be prescribed by the by-laws.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the society shall be vested
with all the powers and privileges of corporations contained
in the Public General Laws of Maryland.
